PUBLIC OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Tuesday May 16th at 7:00 PM Artists for the Environment

Artists and friends of the arts are invited to meet at the City of Imagination on Tuesday May 16th at 7:00 PM to discuss the future of the environment in Gulfport. This includes both the visual and performing arts.

Let’s discuss what we can do to connect people, information and ideas to help inspire the creation of art that heals our communities and ecosystems. For the idea of sustainability to work, it needs to engage our culture effectively. By collaborating with artists of all types, we can make environmental projects and education fun, beautiful, culturally and historically resonant and better integrated into our city. Environmental art integrates people with the landscape through performances, installations and participatory events. For more information, contact Elizabeth Neily at 727-744-7051.
